Karen warriner: I Dreamt a Cardboard Rocket Poem

I dreamt a cardboard rocket ...

a poem by Karen Warriner, Childminder

I dreamt a cardboard rocket
Would transport me from this place,
Way up high, above the sky,
And into outer space,
To places dreams are made of
And adventures without measure
How i'd love a cardboard rocket
To give me hours of endless pleasure
Aliens, monsters & martians
Ooooh the things i'd like to meet
And this magical cardboard rocket
Has placed the world right at my feet.
