I dreamt a cardboard rocket ...

a poem by Rachel Hickey

I dreamt a cardboard rocket would shoot me through the stars
Who wave and twinkle at me on my way to Mars
There I'll meet with little green men and their funny spotty pets
We'll feast on fizzy stardust and race our rocket jets
Next I'll pop to Saturn and then onto the Moon
I'll just have time for a little cheese, I need to be home soon
And when I'm getting tired and think it's time for bed
I'll hop back in my rocket and rest my sleepy head.
